Jodie:
Science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. The scientific method is a way to ask and answer scientific question by making observations and doing experiments.
The steps are:
1. Ask a question
2. Do background research
3. Construct a hypothesis
4. Test your hypothesis by doing an experiment
5. Analyze your data and draw a conclusion
6. Communicate your results.
It is important for the experiment to be a fair test. A "fair test" occurs when you have only one variable.
Scientists study nature's way of working, engineers create new things, such as products, websites, environments, and experiences.

Jarrel:
The scientific method is the method of procedure that characterises natural science, which consists in systematic observation, measurement, formulation, testing and method of hypothesis.
